11:00-11:15- Welcome and introductions

11:15-12:00- Transforming Your Member Experience for the Digital Age-  73% of regular exercisers today identify as Millennial or Generation Z (18-39 year olds). What is your facility doing to attract America's largest generation and cater to their heath-conscious, trend- tracking ways? In this session, we'll discuss current trends in group programming and the technologies being adopted by facilities across the globe to meet market demands. Walk away with 5 strategies to immediately improve your 'Millennial Curb Appeal' as well as long-term considerations to keep your facility front and center in today's Instagram world.

 

12:00-12:30- Lunch

12:45-1:15- The Benefits of Physical Fitness for Kids on the Autism Spectrum- Regular physical activity and movement can help improve cardiorespiratory fitness, build strong bones and muscles, help control weight, reduce symptoms of anxiety and depression, and reduce the risk of developing health conditions. This talk will focus on the benefits of physical fitness for kids who are on the Autism Spectrum. Topics include; Muscle imbalances, Safety in the Fitness Center, Communication, Realistic Expectations, Be Flexible, Be patient and stay positive and most important HAVE FUN!

1:15-2:00- How to Build an in-house Child Yoga Program- Add this adorable and high-demand class to your schedule using your current Yoga instructor team. Mindfulness and breath-work have a proven benefit for all ages so learn how to introduce these skills to children in a safe and playful manner.  Leave with a ready-to-teach class outlines, movement ideas, games, music samples, online resources, and exactly what you need to run an in-house training for your own instructors. We will also touch on classroom management, marketing, program fees, and scheduling.

2:00-2:45- Building the Bridge between Clinical Medicine and Recreation- Building the Bridge between Clinical Medicine and Recreation: Join in on an ongoing topic of how to bring Medical Exercise to your facility through evidence-based programming, relationship building within the medical community, and how to market your facility as a “next-step” place after insurance runs out.
