Grant Opportunities:

Tree Grants ~

Tree grants are matching grants given out each spring to organizations looking to plant trees, shrubs or landscaping including trees to beautify their parks or facilities. Tree grants are available up to $500. Organizations must have the ability to match the funds received outside the normal budgeting process.  Grant applications are available here in February each year.  Competition for funds was especially strong this year, with many more requests for assistance than we could fund.

Congratulations to our 2012 tree grant recipients:

City of Woodland Park Parks and Recreation, Woodland Park
Clear Creek Metropolitan Recreation District, Idaho Springs
Foothills Park and Recreation District, Littleton
LiveWell Chafee County, Salida
National Sports Center for the Disabled, Winter Park

Special thanks to Leanin' Tree for their continued support of our tree grant program!
